Andor Airglow Spectrometer
Andor Airglow Spectrometer
This instrument observes the spectra of OH airglow emission from ~87 km altitude. This data is then used to calculate the temperature of this region of the atmosphere and the intensity of the atmosphere. It is used to study long term variation in the atmospheric temperature in this region and also to study large and small scale atmospheric perturbations (e.g. tides and gravity waves).
