Iceberg bits close to Rothera Point on Adelaide Island. Bergy bits are large pieces of floating glacier ice extending between 1-5 metres above the sea surface, with an area between 100-300 sq m. This image is associated with the 2005-2010 BAS science programme: ACES - Antarctic Climate and the Earth System.
