How does Antarctic science – namely a subglacial drilling project – inspire an author to write her new thriller? Join us at Heffers Bookshop in Cambridge next Thursday 25 May at 6.30pm for a Q&A with Australian author Louisa Larkin and scientist Prof Martin Siegert, who teamed up the subglacial Lake Ellsworth drilling programme in 2012 with researchers from British Antarctic Survey.
This promises to be a lively and highly entertaining evening discussing thriller-writing and how Antarctica inspires both scientists and authors. Larkin and Siegert will be interviewed by Athena Dinar from British Antarctic Survey (BAS) who Larkin met when researching her first Antarctic thriller. The event will also have a live link-up to one of the British Antarctic Survey stations in Antarctica.

The event costs £5 and can be booked here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/devour-how-science-inspires-fiction-with-la-larkin-professor-m-siegert-tickets-32049319377
