Tender for the construction and fit of a new Innovation Centre at British Antarctic Survey, Cambridge

British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is tendering for the construction and fit out of a new Innovation Centre at its Head Office in Cambridge.  A new reception area is to be constructed which will house a Library and 150 seat conference room with associated external work and landscaping. Also included is the refurbishment of current facilities to create a collaboration space, four meeting rooms and two seminar rooms.

The overall project budget is £2.8 million to £3.1 million. Project Completion is no later than November 2016.

The creation of the Innovation Centre was announced in March 2013 by the Minister for Universities and Science, the Rt Hon David Willets MP.  Funded by NERC (Natural Environment Research Council), the initiative strengthens academic links between BAS and Cambridge University.  The ambition is to stimulate new scientific and business collaborations that will lead to improved economic benefit for the UK.
