I am a Post-Award Programme Manager in the Research Development and Support Team (ReDS) at BAS. I work within the Post-Award team to support several NERC, Innovate UK and EU funded programmes including:

• Ocean-Cryosphere Exchanges in ANtarctica: Impacts on Climate and the Earth System (OCEAN:ICE);
• Biogeochemical processes and ecosystem function in changing polar systems and their global impacts (BIOPOLE);
• Satellite Radiation Risk Forecasts (Sat-Risk);
• Southern Ocean – Carbon and Heat Impact on Climate (SO-CHIC);
• DEEPICE;
• Coastal ecosystem carbon balance in times of rapid glacier melt (CoastCarb);
• Parasites in Antarctic Krill: diversity, distribution & impact (ParaKrill).

   SO-CHIC is a European research project investigating how the Southern Ocean regulates global climate through heat and carbon exchanges.

   OCEAN:ICE studies how Antarctic ice and Southern Ocean processes drive sea-level rise and influence global climate, using new data and advanced ice–ocean–climate models.

4. Sat Risk

   The Sat-Risk project, led by the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), has the goal of ‘developing a real-time system to forecast radiation exposure to satellites for a range of different orbits, and quantify the risk of damage or degradation‘.
