Logist
Logist develops decision support tools that use environmental data to help experts make the best routing and planning decisions.
I’m a research software engineer (RSE) in the Digital Innovation Team. I work on projects such as Logist and ApRES.
I joined BAS in July 2026. I previously worked as a clinical bioinformatician in the NHS and public sector for nine years. The bulk of my work was developing and maintaining diagnostic genomic analysis pipelines and software, primarily for humans, except for a stint working on pathogenic microbes at UKHSA. Before that, I completed a PhD in the evolutionary ecology of an insect-bacterium symbiosis at the University of Liverpool. My undergraduate was BA Natural Sciences (Zoology) at the University of Cambridge, with a mix of genetics and animal behaviour modules.
