Tom is a machine learning, computer graphics researcher, and software engineer, working on the Quasar project at the British Antarctic Survey AI Lab.
He has published at top venues in ML (NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV), graphics (Siggraph, Siggraph Asia, Eurographics), and Civil Engineering (JCCE). He has previously worked for Esri, CityEngine, and Moviestorm.
QUASAR uses AI to improve Antarctic sea ice measurements from satellites, making climate data more reliable for scientists tracking changes in polar regions.
