Polar Ocean Mixing by Internal Tsunamis
POLOMINTS investigates how glacier calving triggers internal tsunamis, reshaping polar ocean mixing and influencing climate, ecosystems, and carbon cycling.
I manage the water sampling aspects Rothera Time Series (RaTS) and use ocean gliders to assess how spatially representative the time series is and investigate the controls and processes involved in the flow of water from the shelf break to the near-coastal sampling site. I also participate in numerous research cruises on the JCR.
