William Mills
BAS Honorary Researcher
Dr William Mills is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in the School of Archaeology, Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Reading. His current research uses elemental and stable isotope analyses to investigate seabird diets, habitat use and exposure to pollutants. He completed his PhD in Biological Sciences on the “Trophic ecology and mercury contamination of seabird communities in the Southern Ocean” in the Ecosystems team at the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) in 2021, supervised by Professor Richard Phillips. He then continued as a postdoctoral researcher at BAS investigating mercury contamination of seabirds at South Georgia. He continues to collaborate with BAS scientists on various projects related to the ecology and conservation of seabirds. For more information about his research, please see his Google Scholar profile.
