I am a physical oceanographer with strong interests in understanding the role of ocean in regulating the behavior of broader climate systems. I obtained my PhD in 2020 at University of East Anglia, working on The Ocean Response to Stochastic Atmospheric Forcing, inspried by growing recognition of the accumulative ocean response to high-frequency/small-scale atmospheric fluctuation. I joined BAS 2020 as a PDRA affiliated with SO-CHIC project (Southern Ocean-Carbon and Heat Impact on Climate) as part of European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. I have also been working in collaboration with ORCHESTRA-ENCORE , SO-WISE, SO-ICE project, looking at the ocean-atmosphere-ice interaction in Southern Weddell Sea and Weddell gyre dynamics. Now I am part of the OCEAN ICE project.

The European Space Agency (ESA) Southern Ocean-Ice Shelf Interactions (SO-ICE) project is a collaborative research project bringing together the ESA Polar+ Ice Shelves and 4D Antarctica projects, and the European Commission Southern Ocean Carbon and Heat Impact on Climate (SO-CHIC) project, in order to improve understanding of the processes controlling ice-ocean interactions in Antarctica.
SO-CHIC is a European research project investigating how the Southern Ocean regulates global climate through heat and carbon exchanges.
OCEAN:ICE studies how Antarctic ice and Southern Ocean processes drive sea-level rise and influence global climate, using new data and advanced ice–ocean–climate models.
SO-WISE addresses a critical knowledge gap in understanding how warm ocean water reaches and melts the undersides of West Antarctic ice shelves, which is currently the largest source of uncertainty in global sea level rise projections.
