After a successful career in the computer software industry, he is now working on a PhD, Real-time reporting of ecosystem metrics from acoustic sensors on gliders with the British Antarctic Survey and the University of East Anglia.

1. Real-time krill data for fisheries

   This project aims to develop a system to deliver acoustically derived estimates of krill density in (near) real-time from krill fishing vessels to fishery data users and managers (e.g. commercial managers, scientific researchers and/or policy managers).
