Marc Girona-Mata
PhD Student
Biography
Research interests
Marc’s research will focus on improving our current understanding of hydrometeorological and hydrological regimes in the Himalayas, at the catchment and local scales, for the present-day climate. Marc will use a hybrid approach, leveraging probabilistic machine learning models in combination with state-of-the-art techniques, and using data from multiple sources (observations, climate models, satellite products, etc.). Marc is particularly interested in uncertainty quantification and how this translates into actionable information for vulnerability-impact-adaptation (VIA) studies and better decision making.
