Mark Barham
Oceanographer
I am an oceanographer within the Polar Oceans team responsible for collecting ocean observations in Antarctica and undertaking analysis of the data in support of our Southern Ocean field programmes.
My role involves the design and maintenance of oceanographic instrumentation and their associated moorings as well as the safe deployment and recovery of these systems in support of field programmes. I also undertake analysis of the data once instrumentation have been recovered. The role also incorporates the maintenance, operation and piloting of the BAS underwater glider fleet.
