Kim has worked across various groups since joining British Antarctic Survey such as Office Services, Human Resources and the Purhasing & Logistics.
She currently provides support for the Communications teams portfolio of Science Communication and Public Engagement in Research.
Her role includes monitoring news coverage for news stories and media campaigns; providing evaluation reports and support to the PR managers with media relations, stakeholder engagement and events management; this includes facilitiating business visits to BAS from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership programme, and the many event and exhibition partnerships with science centres, musuems and science festivals across the UK.
She is also point of contact for public information enquiries and numerous requests for school and community talks, as well as co-ordinator for promoting and enrolling recruits to be STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Ambassadors.
