I am the BAS Head of Communications and a Chartered member the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).  I have been at BAS since December 2021 and lead a team of eight people covering media, public engagement, internal communications and creative services.  I have always worked in the communications sector, and was previously Head of Internal Communications at UKRI, reshaping internal communications throughout the pandemic. Before that I spent four years at Bristol University leading on communications and media, a year at Avon and Somerset police leading the media team, and eighteen years at the Environment Agency leading on all aspects of Corporate Communications.  I have extensive experience of incident management, including major flood events, industrial action and student mental health.
