Donya Yazdani
Research Scientist
Biography
I’m an optimisation researcher at the AI lab of the British Antarctic Survey. My research interests include (meta)heuristics, combinatorial optimisation, nature-inspired computation, and decision-making systems. Currently, my focus is on automating marine planning using AI planning techniques.
I’m also passionate about human sciences, particularly philosophy and psychology, and have pursued self-education in these topics. When I’m not working on research, I enjoy hiking and creating papier-mâché sculptures.
