I develop, maintain and support web services for sharing and visualising geospatial data.   These include map visualisation sites Antarctic Digital Database (ADD), South Georgia GIS, Operations GIS, APC Map Viewer and  NERC Arctic Office  Map.  I also develop the various Web Portal sites under http://www.polarview.aq, and am active in the creation of geospatial APIs.

Research interests

I am interested in Open Source software, particularly in the geospatial area, and in building relationships more widely with the Open Source community.

1. Building data resources for managing the South Georgia & South Sandwich Islands Marine Protected Area

   This project ensures the protection and conservation of the region’s rich and diverse marine life, whilst allowing sustainable fisheries.
