Collaboration Space Membership at Aurora
The highly popular Aurora Collaboration Space aims to bring together a community of people from different backgrounds who share our passion for environmental stewardship and technologies for challenging environments. We have thirty-two desks here, with an additional twelve hot-desks for when we run out of bookable desks! Unlike traditional start-up office space, BAS is already a globally recognised operational institution with considerable connections. Your networking is enhanced when working here through this broad range of environmental science and supporting engineering and operations that takes place in the same building. We rarely have ‘BAS-only’ seminars and events in Aurora – all just a short walk down the corridor from your desk.
About once a month we run ‘Knowledge Snacks’ sessions, where we mix Aurora Members/external guests with BAS staff to talk for fifteen minutes on their specialist topics and the results are always the same; “I never knew that, I know someone you should talk to…”
If you are interested in becoming an Aurora Member, Corporate Member or would like a Knowledge Snacks slot, please introduce yourself to us at [email protected]

Aurora Corporate Membership 2019
For larger companies we also offer a Corporate Membership option. Leading businesses around the world understand they have the power to shape our future use of Planet Earth, and take this responsibility seriously in their corporate strategy.
As a Member, your leadership team will already recognise the importance of reviewing business practices in order to chart a path towards net zero carbon operation by 2050, facilitating a sustainable 1.5°C future, and will have implemented strong environmental, ethical and social responsibility policies. Our BAS Vision and Mission aligns with businesses who are actively investigating how their current operational practices contribute to environmental change, with audited targets for reducing negative environmental impact.
We welcome the opportunity to discuss what our Corporate Membership provides and how BAS expertise could inform your environmental strategy. Email [email protected]
Membership is at the discretion of BAS and subject to approval by NERC. Aurora Corporate Membership is limited to four businesses a year in 2019/20.
