Welcome to the Cambridge site of the British Antarctic Survey (BAS). All BAS operations and science programmes within the Antarctic are managed and coordinated from here, and this is the starting point for your journey. Your first main port of call on your way South will be the Falkland Islands, but before that, you must attend a briefing conference held annually at Girton College, Cambridge for all personnel “going South”.
