Join us on Tuesday 5th February, 2019 at 10:30 in Aurora Conference Theatre, BAS, Cambridge for the next sessions of ‘Journeys in STEM Seminar’. There will be two short presentations offered by senior leaders from GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals.

10:30 : Breaking barriers, bravery and belief: by Dr Julie Huxley-Jones, Head of Product Systems, Quality and Insight

Julie focuses on the interface between science and business. Her passions lie in strategy, ensuring highest impact activities are prioritised and communicated. Julie has been at GSK for 13 years following her PhD research in Genetics at The University of Manchester.

11:00 : Overcoming obstacles when science, technology and culture all matter: Dr Samiul Hasan, Director, Data Solutions Development

Samiul’s work focuses on using technology to drive synergies in scientific review processes at GSK. His academic background is in Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute.

There will be a Q&A session after the talk, so please stay for an opportunity to network with colleagues and our invited speakers.
